25/10/18 CONTRACTS | Iraq's Oil Ministry has approved an initial agreement with Canadian company Pacific Future Energy to build a refinery in Nassiriya. Pacific is expected to utilise the services of SNC-Lavalin, a Montreal-based engineering and construction firm that has a partnership with Pacific and worked on many projects in Iraq previously. The project cost is expected to be around $5 billion for the 25 year project. Pacific are believed to have beaten off competition from a Chinese consortium. | 25/10/2018 |
