Construction of Basra Seawater Processing Plant

Korean construction company Hyundai Engineering & Construction have secured the contract with Basra Oil Company for the construction of a seawater processing facility in southern Iraq.The $2.45 billion project will last 49 months, and when completed, enable the supply of 5 million barrels of water per day, to support crude oil production increases and exploration in the region.
