The Ministry of Oil signed a contract in Monday the 19th of October 2015 with Techno Export Czech Company to build a fourth refinery for the South Refineries Company.
Mr. Deiaa Jaafar the deputy minister for refining said that the ministry is aiming to raise the production of the oil derivatives to reduce the importation, and this contract signature will be a new achievement. He said also that the contract duration extends for two years starts from the activation of the financial adoption of the company.
Mr. Mahmood Abdul Ameer the director general of the south refineries company said that this contract will add 70 thousand barrels / day to the production of the company. He said also that the building of the new refinery will improve the quality of the produced fuels, and said at the same time that the Czech company is one of the international well-known companies whom the ministry dealt with in the past.
Mr. Tomas the manager of the Czech company confirmed that his company will do their best to finish the contract within the time table and according to the modern features, at the same time they will develop the oil industry in Iraq.
