Saudi Delegation Visits Iraq to Develop Economic Ties

Delegation will discuss trade and joint projects between the two countries

A high level delegation from Saudi Arabia has met with Iraqi ministers in Baghdad this week as part of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council which is seeking to boost economic ties between the two countries.

The visiting delegation, comprising of a number of senior officials, will meet President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to hold discussions on the border crossing between the Kingdom and Iraq, as well as investment opportunities and trade.

The two countries have been developing closer ties in recent years with cooperation on a number of projects including the reopening of the Arar border crossing for trade and the construction of a new compound on the border.
