Two UK based recruitment companies, Samuel Knight International and SSK Recruitment, are set to open offices in Iraq as they target expansion within the country.
Samuel Knight, which specialize in railway and energy projects, have setup a new division for the country with an office reported to be opened in Baghdad.
Meanwhile SSK are planning to open a new office in Erbil to support the company's growth throughout the Middle East.
SSK Managing Director Adam Smith is quoted in BDaily “With all the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, we decided to focus on building relationships in the Middle East. The margins are significantly higher in the Middle East than here in the UK... We recently got on to the supply chain of one of the largest drilling companies in the world and that contract requires a presence in Erbil, so we have meetings in April to look at offices there."
