Japan Provides $4.7 Million Aid Donations to Iraq

Funding delivered towards health care services for the support of vulnerable children and women in Iraq

The Japanese Government has donated $4.7 million of humanitarian funding for the support of women and children in Iraq.

$3.4 million has been donated to the UN's Children Fund to support vulnerable children with healthcare and nutritional aid in areas of Iraq affected by the recent conflicts with ISIS.

A further $1.3 million has been donated to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) which will be invested in reproductive health services and tackling gender based violence for the support of women in Iraq.
