Iraq Achieves Promising Oil Export Figures for February

Iraq's southern exports have averaged 3.63 million barrels per day so far for February

Crude oil exports from Iraq's southern ports have so far averaged 3.63 million barrels per day (bpd), an increase from January figures.

Iraq's export figures are expected to be further boosted by production increases in Kirkuk, with Iraq exporting this oil through the Kurdistan pipeline to Ceyhan again as of November last year.

According to Reuters, the Kurdistan region is currently producing 420,000 bpd, with the Oil Ministry expecting this figure to increase to 550,000 bps by the end of the year.

Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban has revealed that he is confident that the KRG will be able to deliver their targeted figure of 250,000 bpd to the Iraq central government, as highlighted within the 2019 state budget.
