Lukoil have offered tenders for two development projects at the West Qurna 2 oil field. Contractors have until the 23rd of July to apply for tender documents, with the deadline for bids for both projects set as the 23rd of August.
Both tenders are EPC contracts. The first for decentralised water injection facilities at the field, with the other for EPC of a gas turbine power plant expansion.
These contracts are both part of Lukoil's plan to increase production at West Qurna 2 following a deal signed between the Russian oil giant and the Basra Oil Company back in May. The plan aims to increase oil production at the field to 480,000 barrels per day by 2020 and 800,000 barrels per day by 2025.
