Kuwait have provided Iraq with an $80 million loan which has been used to fund the building of 73 schools across 15 provinces of the country. This aids crucial reconstruction of key infrastructure following destruction caused in the war with ISIS.
Iraq signed the deal to fund the project with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, with all schools to consist of either 12 or 18 classrooms.
The deal follows the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq which was held in Kuwait in February and will help provide comprehensive and sustainable education throughout the country.
