The Iraq Government have voted to develop the crude oil production rate of the Nasiriya oilfield to 100,00 barrels per day (bpd), according to Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
This comes following an announcement in December 2017 that Iraq would increase production at the oilfield to 200,000 bpd in the next few years, without the support from any IOC's.
The Nasiriyah oilfield is currently producing approximately 90,000 bpd.
