The Ministry of Oil/ the information & communication technology center by coordination with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, held a work shop about the “E-Governance”…
And the mechanisms to apply it in the governmental facilities by connecting all the ministries with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers by using the fiber optic cable.
Mr. Falah Khudhair Abbas the manager of the information & communication technology center said that the workshop reviewed the methods & mechanisms of the Electronic Transactions within the E-Government project, and the gains which can be achieved for the benefit of the institution and the citizen, represented by minimizing the time and effort, as well as reducing the spending.
Mr. Abbas said also that the project also unifies the policies, procedures and basics of the information & communication technology which are depended in the governmental authorities to increase the sufficiency of performance of the electronic systems and their contribution to exchange data between the governmental authorities efficiently, in order to reduce the routine procedures and minimize the period to finish the different official transactions, in order to achieve an integrated electronic government with high efficiency and capable of providing the services for the citizens and reduce the corruption, according to the vision of the Iraqi government.
It is worthy to say that most of the official institutions are still using the papers to achieve their data which are related with the ministry, the institution and the citizens.
