The Minister of Oil Receives the British Ambassador and Discusses Bilateral Cooperation in the Oil and Gas Sector

To Create the Appropriate Environment for the Work of the International Companies Operating in Iraq, Which Are in the Development of this Important Economic Sector.

Oil Minister Jabbar Ali Hussein Al-Allaibi met with British Ambassador to Baghdad Frank Baker and his accompanying delegation during the meeting. They discussed bilateral relations in the oil and gas industry.

The minister stressed the need to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries in all fields, especially in the oil and gas industry, calling on British oil companies to participate in oil sector development projects

Mr. Al-Luaibi pointed to the Ministry's keenness to create the appropriate environment for the work of the international companies operating in Iraq, which are in the development of this important economic sector.

For his part, praised the British ambassador in Baghdad, "Frank Baker," the efforts of the Minister in the management of the ministry and the development of the oil sector in the country, stressing the efforts of the government and companies of his country to promote joint cooperation and continuity with Iraq at all levels nominally in the oil and gas sector.

At the end of the meeting, the minister presented the shield of the ministry to British Ambassador Frank Baker on the occasion of the end of his duties as ambassador to Iraq, in appreciation of his efforts in strengthening relations between Iraq and Britain, especially in the development of the Iraqi oil sector.
