Oil Minister Receives Dutch Ambassador in Baghdad

The Minister Stressed that the Two Countries have Strong Relations, Stressing the need to Strengthen and Develop in all Areas

Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Luaibi, the Dutch ambassador to Iraq, met with Matthias Walters and the delegation accompanying him. During the meeting, they discussed means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

The minister stressed that the two countries have strong relations, stressing the need to strengthen and develop in all areas, especially in the oil and gas industry, calling on Dutch companies to participate in investment projects announced by the ministry.

The Minister also referred to the work of Shell in the gas sector, praising its performance and progress in this field.

He added that the Ministry of Oil is keen to create the appropriate environment for the work of foreign oil companies in the country.

For his part, the Dutch ambassador said the government's efforts to strengthen cooperation with Iraq in all fields, expressing the desire of his country's companies to enter into investment in the oil and gas sector in Iraq
