US$38 Billion in Iraqi Financial Reserves Reached According to Advisor

He pointed that the "waste and corruption" costed Iraq 30% of its budgets.

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi economic expert and advisor at the Cabinet Mazin al-Ushaiqer disclosed that the Iraqi financial reserves in the country reached to 38 billion dollars, in comparison of previous figure of 90 billion dollars,


 
He pointed that the "waste and corruption" costed Iraq 30% of its budgets.

"Iraq took loans with the amount of 112 billion dollars, which means that each Iraqi citizen is indebted 2000 dollars", he elaborated.

On the other hand, he pointed that the number of governmental employees reached to 4.5 million in a country with a population of 35 million citizen.


He suggested that the governmental officials should "resign" to decrease their numbers to reach 1.5 million employees, "so, then we will have more money for development and building our infrastructures".
