Iraq's Opec Governor Supports Will Support Oil Freeze During Meeting in Algeria

"We are not intending to flood the market.."

Iraq’s OPEC governor has announced Baghdad would indeed support an oil freeze, Falah Alamri stated: “We are not intending to flood the market, we are intending to support the market … we will not participate in any action that will reduce the price.”

Oil Minister, Jabar Ali al-Luaibi (Alibi) announced Thursday that Iraq would support a production cap next week and will support this decision at an informal OPEC meeting in Algeria next week. The planned share output is between 4.75 million and 5 million bpd.
