Basra crude is set to increase in September, according to a recent Platts report. Iraq production will increase to 3.257 million bpd of Basra crude in September.
The provisional loading schedule will be as follows: 2.324 million bpd of Basra Light and 933,333 of Basra Heavy Grade. This is a contrast to August’s schedule of 2.078 million bpd of Basra Light and 710,000 of Basra Heavy. This apparently is caused my an August leak of the pipeline carrying Basra Light crude.
