The cut of the Kurdistan Regions budget share by the Iraqi central government since early 2014 encouraged the KRG to sell its oil independently
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has announced they have exported 14 million barrels of oil last July 2016 according to the Ministry of Natural Resources. Revenue reached US$461.2 million and of that amount, US$339.757 was already received. This July revenue is compared to US$561 in June. In more detail, crude exports through Ceyhan were 457,314 barrels and cost US$32.53 per barrel.
