Iran has Resumed Exporting Natural Gas to Iraq

290,000 liters of natural gas have been dispatched to Iraq from Iran

Alireza Ashnagar, Iran's Kurdistan province deputy governor general for political, security and social affairs has announced that Iran has exported the first cargo of natural gas to Iraqi Kurdistan, on Wednesday. 

10 tankers holding 290,000 liters of gas oil were dispatched to Iraqi Kurdistan to mainly provide gas oil to residents residing on the border of the two countries.  

Iraqi Kurdistan has historically relied on imports from Iran, and trade has resulted in billions of dollars of revenue for Iran over the years.
