Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has paid DNO ASA, the Norwegian oil and gas operator $20.11US million for March crude deliveries from Tawke oil field.
Genel and DNO will share these funds as announced in an earlier Rebuilding Iraq news release.
March export numbers were affected by the temporary closure of the Turkish segment of the oil pipeline that carried oil to the Ceyhan port during early March. Tawke oil field exported 74,564 bpd in March which was an increase from 66,427 bpd in February. In regards to the local market, Tawke produced 6,697 bopd in February and 4,446 bopd in March. However, all production was considered under exported crude. Tawke has delivered approximately 117,256 bopd during the month of April.
