Baghdad has Stopped Exporting Oil Via Iraqi Kurdistan to Incite Oil Revenue Discussions

Baghdad Halts Kirkuk Oil Exports via KRI

In an effort to commence oil sharing revenue discussions, Iraqi Minister of Oil, Mr. Adel Abdel Mahdi has Baghdad has decided to halt oil exports via Iraqi Kurdistan in order to pressure the Kurdistan Regional Government. Government owned, North Oil Company (NOC), with an average production of 150,000 barrels of oil per day exported through Ceyhan Port in Turkey has since stopped pumping oil in Kirkurk as confirmed by Reuters.
