OPEC Eager to Take Part in the Sixth Iraq Energy Forum

OPEC is set to participate in the sixth Iraq Energy Forum themed "The Middle East as a Cornerstone of Global Energy Security."

OPEC will attend the sixth Iraq Energy Forum in Baghdad on June 18-20.

The meeting will be themed "The Middle East as a Cornerstone of Global Energy Security," and is expected to receive policymakers, government officials, analysts, specialists, and industry leaders worldwide.

Among the confirmed participants is Ali Allawi, Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance.

The conference will address multiple critical energy challenges, such as global energy security, the energy transition, investment, economic recovery uncertainty, and long-term development.

OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo expressed eagerness to participate in the 6th IEF, which is taking place at a pivotal moment in the history of the energy sector.

He noted that the forum has evolved into a prominent regional event, attracting not only leaders from Iraq's energy industry and high-level officials, but also some of the world's leading energy experts.
