Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein will be discussing oil sector and trade cooperation during his visit to Moscow which starts today. It will be his first official visit to the country at the invitation of Sergey Lavrov, Russia's foreign minister.
Topics of concern will be the situation in Syria, the Middle East settlement, and the situation in the Persian Gulf and in Yemen. Of significant importance will be the discussion on international terrorism.
Hussein will be accompanied by the representatives of the various ministries of oil and trade including the parliament committee on foreign relations according to the INA news agency.
After the meeting with Lavrov, the party will then meet with Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov and his senior upper and lower chamber lawmakers to explore possible cooperation on the oil and trade sector.
The visit has long been announced by Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs early this month.
