Chinese Construction Firm Awarded 1.39 billion (US) Project for Infrastructure in Iraq

The region in which the construction will take place is in southern Iraq

Baghdad, 7th August -- A major infrastructure construction project worth approximately 1.39 billion (U.S.) has been approved for Chinese firm China Construction Third Engineering Bureau for southern Iraq. 

In a recent statement by the Chinese construction company, they announced the meeting and agreement took place in Dubai, UAE and the details of the contract consist of housing, education, medical care, visitor services buildings and ancillary facility projects in the Governorate of Najaf, Karbala and Basra. 

The 3-year project will also include low cost housing, schools, hospitals and tourist service centers, all of which will support the establishment of vital basic services for the country.
