DNO to Invest $250 Million in Kurdistan Oilfields

Norwegian operator seeking further developments and production increases in the Kurdistan region of Iraq

Norwegian operator DNO has announced its Q1 performance and revenues, whilst highlighting a $250 million investment for its operations in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq.

DNO, which also operates assets in the North Sea, revealed that production at its Tawke and Peshkabir fields in Kurdistan averaged 126,800 barrels per day (bpd) for Q1, representing a rise of 17,400 bpd compared to last years results.

The operator has also announced a double of investment towards exploration with $250 million allocated to its assets in Iraq as the company ramps up its drilling program to generate further production increases.
