China’s Sinoma International Engineering has secured a contract to build a 6000 tonne per day clinker production line in Iraq.
The project, to be built near Samawah in the Al Muthanna Governorate, will be built for Iraqi Cement and is worth a total value of $246m.
The contract covers handling of the entire production process from quarry to finished packaging of cement products. Following finalization of credit and the contract, work on the project s expected to be complete in 37 months.
