The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Extraction Karim Hattab received the Algerian Ambassador in Baghdad Abdelkader Ben Shuaa. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing relations between the two countries in a way that serves the common interests.
He stressed that the ministry is working on developing the oil and gas sector by supporting investment projects and encouraging national and international companies to participate in the implementation of development projects and infrastructure development, calling for more cooperation between Algerian and Iraqi companies.
Al-Wakil pointed to the depth of the historical relations between Iraq and Algeria, stressing the keenness of the two countries to develop relations and exchange visits and coordination of many issues, including meetings of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and unifying visions on the oil market and prices.
For his part, the Algerian ambassador expressed the desire of his country and Algerian companies to strengthen relations in all fields, especially oil and gas.
