Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) May Ship Oil to USA For the First Time in Three Years

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will ship oil to the US for the first time in three years via an oil tanker called Neverland

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will ship oil to the US for the first time in three years via an oil tanker called Neverland, which left the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday carrying 650,000 barrels of crude, according to vessel tracking data from Bloomberg.

KRG’s oil is mainly transported through the Ceyhan port in Turkey after Baghdad cut Kurdistan’s share of the federal budget. This move affected the unloading of crude in 2015 from the United Kalavryta tanker in Houston after a federal court blocked unloading its cargo following a lawsuit by the Iraqi government.
