A Joint Iran Iraqi Oil Field, Yarin Field, Produces 10,000 Barrels of Oil

IRNA news agency added that 6 oil wells shall be utilized in the oilfield out of 18 dug ones.

Teheran/ Iraq TradeLink: Iranian oil ministry's sources reported that the production of the joint Iranian-Iraqi  Yaran oilfield reached to 10.000 b/d.

IRNA news agency added that 6 oil wells shall be utilized in the oilfield out of 18 dug ones.

It is expected that the southern Yaran oilfield will produce about 25.000 b/d, as reported by the 
agency.

No figures were given by the Iraqi side on this production.

South Yaran oilfield lies about 130 kilometers west of Ahwaz city, Khuzestan province, south west Iran near the Iraqi borders.

Iraq has five joint oilfield with Iran.

Earlier, Iraqi oil ministry announced signing a memo of understanding on 20 February, 2017 to solve the disputes on the joint oilfields, as well as studying building an oil pipeline to export Kirkuk's oil production via Iran, as well as providing Abadan refinery with Iraqi oil production.
