Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: In the light of the current economic crisis in Iraq, experts believe that

 
special attention should be given to natural gas industry to increase the revenues of the state.

Current information denoted that great quantities of gas are available in the western Anbar province, where the calls concentrated that the gas industry city should built there to be invested by foreign companies.

The experts concentrated that Akaz gas, in Anbar province, could be exported to Europe through Turkey, as well as building an industrial base depending on petrochemical industries, fertilizers and electricity.

International estimates pointed that one third of Iraq is not surveyed that may have about 100 billion barrels of oil.
Currently, Iraq is exporting only 3.2  million b/d.


Earlier, Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Lu'aibi called to increase gas reserves through studies and explorations inside the country and territorial waters, as well as with neighboring countries.
