Europe banned the flight of the Iraqi Airways' planes in 2015, for not having the full safety standards

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: European Air Safety Agency denied the reports published on permitting Iraqi Airways of entering European air space.

The sources said that there was no updating to this issue since December, 2016.

Yesterday, Iraqi Transport Minister Kadhim al-Hamami disclosed that the European embargo on the Iraqi Airways flights was removed from the blacklist by the European Safety Agency (EASA).

He added that the final removal will be effective within two months.

Europe banned the flight of the Iraqi Airways' planes in 2015, for not having the full safety standards.

Iraqi Airways, which was established in 1945,  has a fleet of 35 planes, mostly modern types.
