Iraq Proposes US$200 Million Construction Project to Turkish Business Council

Proposal in efforts to boost Turkish-Iraqi Business relations

During a visit to Iraq last week, Turkish Prime Minister Binli Yildirim offered a proposal of a US$200 million construction project to businessmen based in Turkey.

The real estate project would mean construction would happen in Baghdad’s “green zone” according to a member of the board of Turkish-Iraqi Business Council, Tevfik Öz. Turkey exports around half, or US$7 billion dollars each year to Iraq.
