Angolan Oil Company, Sonangol Oil Will Resume Operations in Two Oil Fields in Iraq

Sonangol has a 75-percent stake in the fields while North Oil Company has a 25-percent stake in the company.

Minister of Oil for Iraq, Jabbar Ali al-Luaibi and director of Angolan oil company, Sonangol, Edson dos Santos have announced that the Angolan oil company will resume its work in the development of Qayara and Najmah oil field in the Nineveh governorate. 

Sonangol has a 75-percent stake in the fields while state owned, North Oil Company has a 25-percent stake in the company. Sonangol was trading at $6.00 per barrel before political conflict halted operations of the oil fields.
