Paris/ Iraq TradeLink: The French President Franscoi Hollande announced that he will visit Iraq next
Monday to "extend tribute and greetings" to the French soldiers there, who fight against Da'ish (ISIS) organization.
In his annual New Year speech, he pointed that France is fighting terrorism through its military operations in Iraq, Syria and Mali.
President Hollande made his first visit to Iraq in 12 September, 2014 where he promised increasing military support to fight terrorism in Iraq.
After 2014 Baghdad visit, he went to the Kurdish region and visited a refugee camp.
Few days later, France took part in the international coalition, under US command, to fight Da'ish organization.
Following his election as president of France in May, 2012, the socialist Hollande increased French operations against terrorism, starting in an operation in Mali in January 2013, then in Central Africa in December 2013, then other operations in Iraq and Syria, starting from September, 2015.
