Iran Withholds Power and Energy Services to Iraqi Kurdistan Due to $27US million debt

It is reported Iran is in talks with Iraqi Kurdistan to restart services to the affected areas. There was previously a deal between Iraqi Kurdistan and Iran to provide electricity to the area.

Iran, the main power and energy provider for Iraqi Kurdistan has not been paid outstanding debts of $27US million by Kurdistan.  Therefore, Iran has cut off all electricity to the districts in Penjwen: Sulaimani and surrounding villages. It is reported Iran is in talks with Iraqi Kurdistan to restart services to the affected areas. There was previously a deal between Iraqi Kurdistan and Iran to provide electricity to the area.
