Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has paid Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP) US$15 million.

Despite the fact that Kurdistan-Ceyhan pipeline has been down for 13 days and is still in fact currently not operational.

A recent report confirmed that on 4th March, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has paid Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP) US$15 million.

This is despite the amount of KRG exported oil went down in February to 10,151,944 barrels of crude oil (an average of 350,067 barrels per day (bpd))through the Kurdistan pipeline network to the port of Ceyhan in Turkey. In January, KRG exported an average of 600,000 barrels per day.

This is largely due to the fact that the Kurdistan-Ceyhan pipeline was down for 13 days and is still in fact currently not transporting oil.
