Major Construction Will be Needed to Rebuild Ramadi

Iraqi politicians are looking to Ramadi to become a flagship example of the Iraqi government’s ability to rebuild.

United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has reported that an excess of 5,700 buildings and structures around Ramadi were damaged since 2014 and a further 2,000 buildings were completely levelled and destroyed.

Efforts to rebuild the city will cost the government an excess of $4billion.
