Egyptian Investors Approached to Fund Construction for Two Iraqi Industrial Cities

Industry minister in Egypt to discuss plan as part of a project to build many cities

 

Iraqi news reported Monday that Iraq is looking to build two new industrial cities with the financial support of other countries, in particular, Egypt. Minister of Industry and Minerals, Al Daraji, discussed this plan in more detail according to Shafaq News.

“Iraq is planning to industries cities in cooperation with some countries. These include two Egyptian cities,” the minister said.

Two Egyptian industrialists are meeting with him to discuss their own financial contribution to the projects. 

Chairman of Cairo based Arab Industrialisation Organisation,Abdul Aziz Saifuddin, said, ”we are seriously considering contributing to the construction of two industrial cities in Iraq and allow it to benefit from our expertise.”
