Associated press reported on Tuesday that Italy’s Trevy group was awarded a contract to service and maintain Mosul Dam in the northern territory of Iraq. This news comes soon after the U.S. General warned of the dam’s fragile condition and threat of collapse; causing floods and damage.
The contract is worth approximately $230m dollars and work is scheduled to commence in February. The project will be overseen and inspected by U.S. Engineers.
