Iraq's Arar Border Crossing to Reopen on October 15th

Border crossing connection Iraq and Saudi Arabia will reopen following almost 30 years of closure

The Arar border crossing connecting Iraq to Saudi Arabia is set to reopen in October this year following almost 30 years of closure.

According to the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Iraq, the crossing is set to officially open on October 15th in a move to support improved ties and trade between the two countries.

The border crossing was closed in 1990 as the Kingdom severed ties with Iraq over their invasion of Kuwait.
